Visible oxidation can be seen on the engravings on the cap and barrel. It is fitted with a 14-karat gold nib (marked “#C”), offering a line width ranging from “medium-broad” (wet-medium) to “very broad” (triple broad). It is filled using a dropper (eye-dropper system). They have already been used and enjoyed for generations.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBut no, I do not recommend using them as “everyday” pens in the modern sense — tossed in a bag, carried daily to the office, or taken on trips. This is an object nearly a century old, made with the technology and tolerances of another era. There is a reason production of “Safety” system pens ceased. 🙂\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf you want to discover what a true vintage “Safety” pen is like, the experience is incredibly rewarding.
