Armando Simoni Club Bologna Extra fountain pen in “Arco Bronze” celluloid

This pen has been used with care; it comes with its original box and documents. It features an 18-karat gold “Magic Flex” nib (size 8) and uses a piston-filling system. The celluloid pattern is slightly misaligned, particularly on the blind cap (see last image).

This is a truly “oversized” pen that perfectly showcases the celluloid on its imposing body. It features rose gold trim and is equipped with a modern size 8 flexible nib.

This pen is crafted from the same celluloid Armando Simoni used for his “Arco Bronze” models starting in the 1930s.

This ASC model is longer and wider than the pens Armando Simoni previously created in this style. It features a large, vintage-style rolling clip with a rose gold finish.

The “Greek key” pattern adorns the cap band, as it has since Armando Simoni first introduced this design to his creations. Bands featuring the same pattern now also adorn the pen body, just above the grip section.

Enthusiasts will appreciate the excellent writing qualities offered by the combination of a large 18-karat solid gold “Magic Flex” nib (size 8)—finished with rose gold plating—and an innovative ebonite feed designed to provide an optimal ink flow. This design allows the line width to vary by adjusting the pressure applied to the nib while writing. However, be careful not to press too hard, as this flexible nib could become deformed.

The traditional turn-button piston mechanism has been replaced here by a high-capacity, quick-action piston-filling system. To fill the pen, unscrew the knob at the end of the body, pull the piston out, place your finger over the opening, dip the nib in the ink, and then push the piston into the body. Screw the knob back on, and your pen is ready to write.
